What is a JWT?
JSON Web Tokens (JWT) are compact, URL-safe tokens used for securely transmitting information between parties. They consist of three Base64URL-encoded parts: header, payload, and signature.
Common JWT Claims
- iss - Issuer of the token
- sub - Subject (usually user ID)
- exp - Expiration time
- iat - Issued at time
- aud - Audience (intended recipient)
